Carilion Clinic participated in a multicenter quality improvement project using Lucerno’s technology. They decreased the infiltration rate from 13.3% to 2.9%. Seven new technologists that have joined the team had significantly higher rates of infiltration. While a quality improvement plan can improve and sustain injection quality, ongoing monitoring is needed as new technologists join the team. Read the article here.
